REACHing out this Summer
Summer 2010 sees the successful continuation of EACH's exciting Big Lottery Funded project: REACH.
Throughout the next five years REACH will strive to support lesbian, gay or bisexual young people develop a sense of pride in their identity and help their peers and adults in young people’s settings challenge homophobic bullying.

Working with South Gloucestershire and Bath and North East Somerset Young People's Services
EACH is working in partnership with South Gloucestershire's Children and Young People's Services to convene a seminar for Headteachers and senior teachers in its schools to challenge homophobic and transphobic bullying. Delegates will explore a variety of issues linked to PSHE, SEAL, Every Child Matters, Citizenship and Behaviour and Attendance as these relate to challenging these forms of bullying.
"Safe to Learn: Safe from Bullying” launched
The latest Department for Children, Schools and Families’ web-based guidance to join the suite of anti-bullying resources – "Safe to Learn" – is "Safe to Learn: Safe from Bullying”.
In Partnership with the Police
EACH has helped Avon and Somerset Constabulary create a twenty minute e-learning training package on prejudice driven crime. This involved experiences of our service users with input from EACH’s Executive Director on the causes of the under-reporting of homophobic and transphobic crime and successful strategies to challenge it.
Force 30
Essex follows Dyfed-Powys to become the thirtieth police force to join the ranks of those receiving Continuing Professional Development, as it explores training opportunities for its officers. This follows attendance at a much-praised presentation by Jonathan Charlesworth (EACH's Executive Director) at the recent Centre for Parliamentary Studies Conference in central London on Neighbourhood Policing.
Trevor Phillips launches EACH's new web service to tackle homophobic bullying
Trevor Phillips, Chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, joined the anti-homophobia charity EACH (Educational Action Challenging Homophobia) and Stephen Williams MP on Thursday 27th November 2008 at the national launch of EACH’s Online Reporting Service for young people targeted by homophobic bully
Department for Children, Schools and Families working in partnership with EACH
As co-author of the Department for Children, Schools and Families’ guidance to schools "Safe to Learn: Homophobic Bullying", EACH is welcoming an increase in requests for its training from the Education, Criminal Justice and Health Services.
