Educational Action Challenging Homophobia (EACH) is committed to protecting your privacy. Please read the following policy to understand how your personal information will be treated. This policy may change from time to time so please check back periodically.

What information do we collect from you?
EACH collects personal information, such as your name and email address when you register with us, or further information volunteered by you, including: name, postal address, telephone number, age, ethnicity, sexuality, gender and details of homophobic incidents when you submit an Online Self-Reporting Form.

How do we use this information?
EACH will only use your personal information to provide you with the services or information you have requested.

How do we protect personal information?
When you give EACH personal information we take steps to ensure that your information is treated securely. Non-sensitive details (your email address etc) may be transmitted normally over the Internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while your personal information will be treated in strict confidence once received by EACH, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, the personal information you provide will be filed and stored securely by EACH in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Will we share the information we collect with other parties?
EACH will not share any of your personal information with third parties, except with other agencies working to tackle homophobia where you have given your permission for us to do so. The Online Self-Reporting Form, where submitted, will be sent to Bristol City Council Equalities Department and to other agencies with your consent.

EACH will treat your details with strict confidence, however we may need to disclose your information if required to do so by law, for example where child protection legislation requires it.

Do we use 'Cookies'?
'Cookies' are small pieces of information sent by a web server to a web browser, which enables the server to collect information from the browser. Essentially it takes the form of a small text file deposited on your computer's hard drive.

EACH uses cookies to ensure that you can interact with our website successfully and to identify you when you visit our website. The use of cookies does not give us access to the rest of your computer.

If you want to prevent our cookies being stored on your computer in future, you may do so by referring to your internet browser's instructions. You can do this by clicking on the "Help" menu. Can I access the information you collect from me?
You may request a copy of any personal information that EACH has received from you. Please email info@eachaction.org.uk or write to EACH, Office 27, 42 Triangle West, Clifton, Bristol BS8 1ES. We will not make a charge for supplying this information. It will help us to locate your records more easily if you can tell us how you supplied this information to us, e.g. from registering with us, or completing an online form.

Can I update my details?
The accuracy of your personal information is important to EACH. If you change postal or email address, or any of the other information we hold is inaccurate or out of date, please contact us via one of the methods listed above.
