Police Training
EACH enjoys an excellent working relationship with the criminal justice system - including several police forces, Youth Offending Teams, Witness Care, the probation and Crown Prosecution Services.
Highly experienced teacher and trainer, Jonathan Charlesworth has to date delivered consultancy and training to 30 of the UK's 43 police forces on a variety of sexuality related matters including:
- Improving the Reporting of Homophobic Crime
- Male Rape and Sexual Assault
- Recruitment and Retention of lesbian and gay staff
- Sexual identities ~ appropriate language and terminology
- Creating a Safer and Equal Workplace (exploring the implications of sexual orientation employment legislation, civil partnerships and the amended adoption law)
- Sexual Offences Act 2003
He is included within The National Policing Improvement Agency's (NPIA) Expert Advisers' database as an investigative trainer and is Chair of Avon and Somerset Crown Prosecution Service's Hate Crime Scrutiny Panel.
Surrey and Avon and Somerset Police each commissioned Jonathan to undertake comprehensive research into the under-reporting of homophobic crime and assist with the creation of intranet training packages respectively. Â
